My best route to tour DAVAO

All these days I was thinking about writing that one happy moment I had in Davao. I was alone during that time, but it is not something that you can only experience alone though. It’s just a wonderful day to be lonely and spend some money I had saved. I usually wander around by my self before.

“Mag exercise tayo tuwing umaga (Do an exercise every morning).” Early morning I woke up that day and went to Victoria Plaza to have my daily exercise. Just a pretty simple jogging. You can see a lot of Dabawenyos there. I consider Victoria Plaza’s Car Park a very good place to start your day. It’s located at downtown (J.P. Laurel Street) and it’s not too overcrowded unlike other jog spots which made it to my taste.

I don’t remember it correctly but I think it was around 7:45 AM when I started jogging out of Victoria Plaza and went to Chicco de Caffe to have some coffee and a lite breakfast. Yes! I’m addicted to coffee. It makes my day and it ends my day. But don’t worry. I drink a lot of water. My favorite breakfast combination was that Skinless Longaniza served with Brewed coffee already. It’s cheap (don’t worry again). Surely, you’ll get tired after the exercise so why don’t you just stay there for a while and read some daily newspapers or magazines (I suggest you read Mindanao Times Newspaper) or relax and feel the experience their very relaxing atmosphere which was the one that I did. :D

Fast Forward…. Got home (or in your hotel). Took some bath and ate at Chicken Tsunami. Oh Yeah! One of my favorite fried chicken shops here in Davao. It was my second year in college when I first had my experience at Chicken Tsunami. Every lunch time, I go there to eat their deliciously cooked crunchy chicken (so much for the adjectives). Right now, there are a lot of Chicken Tsunami branches: F. Torres and R. Castillo Streets, and at the back of Victoria Plaza, and these are the branches common to me.

Afternoon? Nah… I don’t spend time in Davao during the afternoon because I don’t like the heat. So during that time I went to a Local Mall. Gladly, I met my friends there who have also planned to go to Jack’s Ridge. Lucky eh? I actually planned to go there alone but thanks to them I got a free ride.

What? You don’t know about Jack’s Ridge? It’s one of Davao’s best tourist spots. You can see Davao! Yes DAVAO! Especially during the night. You’ll love seeing those small street lights turning on, the lights on moving cars roaming around the city, from above.

I took my dinner there together with my friends.

To end my simple tour in Davao, I decided to drink a coffee again. I went to Coffee Dream Bajada branch because the one in SM is already closed. Coffee Dream is really wonderful. I never forgot to include this on my list on must be visited cafes in Davao.
